A Work in Progress

The Sun looked good overall. All the pieces are there. Kara Lawson is playing like a veteran with confidence and Gouda is tough with the midrange game. Tina Charles is a beast inside and Asiha is going to get back into form with a little time. Also, the Sun are getting good minutes from a number of role players. However, someone needs to be willing to take over down the stretch in the big moment. That somebody is yet to come forward. I wonder who will step up to the table? The championship will most likely hinge on this. We will have to wait and see.

What an exciting game!

The game was fabulous! The teams were very closely matched. The Sun had a slim lead during the first half. The Fever fought to gain the slim lead early in the second half, but the Sun proved that they had more heart in the end and battled to regain the lead after they lost it for a few minutes. The overtime was a fitting season ending show for the fans who had stayed with the team throughout the not-too-stellar year and all of the team members' injuries. The "second" team that took over as starters for the latter part of the season showcased several very good and some fabulous players who had not been given the chance to shine earlier. We have a good, well-rounded team now that can handle temporarily losing the "star" players due to injury/illness.
